Colossians 3:13 “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
What a wonderful thing it is to be in Christ! Who else in the whole universe can boast of forgiveness of sins? Who else in the universe will and can die for us unconditionally and save us from our sins? Jesus Christ, 2000 years ago bore the sin of the world in His body; and through the cross, Christ bore all the curses of sin and shed His blood to pay for the death each one of us owe to the law of God. Because of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, we are forever and eternally forgiven.
“Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more” (John 8:11)
This revelation will lead us to forgive others more and love others more. Nowhere in the Bible did it mention that the grace of God will lead people to sin; that is pure human erroneous speculation. We forgive, because the Lord already forgave us (Col 3:13). We love because The Lord already loves us (1 John 4:19, John 13:34). Love begets love, forgiveness begets forgiveness. Read the Bible and be blessed as you get to know more and more about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us.
