Jesus is Here There’s Nothing to Fear

145244798Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

The Lord never promised that the world won’t attack us once you are with Him.  In fact, The Lord prophesied the opposite that spiritual attacks and persecutions will target us precisely because we have Jesus (John 15:20).  I like what Pastor Joseph Prince said about these devil attacks:  The devil doesn’t waste his time attacking people who are spiritually dead (they’re already dead!); instead, he sends his armies of rotten fallen angels to come against those who are alive in Christ!

So what are we to do when all these worldly trials come?  One of the best ways to handle things is to learn what the author of Psalm 27 (again king David) suggests: WAIT FOR THE LORD.  What I personally love to do (to calm me down) is to read the book of Psalms.  And Psalm 27 is one of the best psalms to read and to chew on especially when you are being ‘attacked’ by worldly and spiritual forces.  It reminds us that we are not alone in these worldly trials and persecutions.  It shows us Who really is in control and it shows us that in Christ, we really have nothing to fear.

The LORD is my light and my salvation—

whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life—

of whom shall I be afraid?

When evil men advance against me

to devour my flesh,

when my enemies and my foes attack me,

they will stumble and fall.

Though an army besiege me,

my heart will not fear;

though war break out against me,

even then will I be confident.

Psalm 27:1-3

I wish everyone a great week of victory in the name of Jesus Christ!
