Psalm 68:4-5 “Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds” his name is the LORD” and rejoice before him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
He is the Father that The Lord Jesus Christ revealed. Jesus didn’t reveal a heavenly Father who is angry at man or a heavenly Father who will judge and condemn us. Jesus came to reveal a heavenly Father who is full of love, mercy and compassion. So we praise God not because we are commanded to do so and we praised God not because we fear punishment. Instead, we praise The Holy One because we know He loves us! And because we are free to love Him as our Father, we hunger to praise Him more and more!
“Whoever comes to me, I will never drive away.” -Jesus Christ (John 6:37)
He is a loving God, a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows. So to anyone who FEELS abandoned, alone and unworthy, know that these feelings are but earthly lies. For the truth is, you have a father in heaven who loves you!
THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, WE HAVE ALL THE REASON TO SING AND TO REJOICE!
