Romans 12:10 “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
These are not simply cliché words of false humility. The Lord is once again showing us wise Bible secrets on how we can obtain honor. Gaining honor for ourselves is not from achieving a great deed or demanding honor from others. Jesus Christ, the best example, can get human honor by showing off His powers as the creator of the world but instead, Christ chose to get honor in His own wise and Godly way, through brotherly love. By healing sinners instead of condemning them, by washing His disciples’ feet instead of ordering them around and most of all, by shedding His blood on the cross instead of commanding legions of angels to defend Him. When Jesus commanded us to love and serve others, He wasn’t just blurting out empty words. Jesus Christ always leads by example, so whatever He teaches; rest assured it’s for our own good and it is for our honor. Praise The Holy Name of Jesus Christ!
