The Word or The World?

jesus-nazareth-215 Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the Beginning and the End (Revelations 22:13).  Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelations 1:8)

Your circumstances in life or even your destiny are not founded on man-made rules and laws.  It’s not founded in your bank statements either.  The sole authority of your life is not dictated by the medical reports or expert opinions.  And it is definitely not dependent on what our eyes see and what our ears hear.

The sole authority of our existence is The Word of God.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

Jesus Christ, The Alpha and Omega, IS God’s Word. (John 1:1-3)

It is important that we remind ourselves everyday about the Word of God. The world will always find ways to distract us and throw us off balance with its lies to bring out fear through our senses and even our emotions.

Let us always remember that even if our eyes and ears end up agreeing with the world and our emotions are pulling us down that The Word of God is still the Highest Authority.  That all problems, all trials, all sufferings, all lies, all good and all evil shall bow down to the name of Jesus Christ (Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:10).

So when your bank statements tell you that you are poor, thank God that His Word says that you will always be provided for (Matthew 6:25-34, Psalm 23:1); moreover, the Word of God says that because of Jesus Christ, you are rich! (2 Corinthians 8:9)  When medical reports say that you are sick, thank God that His Word says that because of Christ, you are healed and healthy (Isaiah 53:4).  When your fears say that God is angry at you, look to The Word and see that through Christ God is no longer angry at you! (Romans 8:1)

I don’t care about beliefs from tradition or evidence from the world.  The truth will always be found in God’s word.  I particularly love what Ps. Joseph Prince said, that even if no one is healed in church, he would still believe that God heals because The Bible says so.  It gives a modern day meaning to Romans 3:4: “Let God be true and every man a liar.”

Our eyes, ears and crude logic can fool us into fear and condemnation but the word of God will always be the truth.  Have a constant source of God’s word in your daily life.  Be it from verse booklets, from home made post-it notes, or better yet from mini-Bibles.

Techy people virtually have no excuse!  We have Bible apps in every operating system, not to mention Twitter, Facebook, and all the other programs you can think off!  If anyone wants to commune and relate with believers, a good internet site I can refer you is GraceHope.com (http://www.gracehope.com).  And if anyone wants a 4Mb Bible in text file, just drop me an email and I’ll happily send you the file.

Don’t give the world a chance to delude you with its lies.  Keep yourself conscious of God’s word and know The Truth and The Truth will set you free (John 8:32).
