Ephesians 2:19 “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household,”
Because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross, we become citizens of heaven. We are in this world but we are not of this world (John 17:14-19); we are therefore no longer subjected to the nonsense of this world which is ruled by the devil. So, if the world today is suffering from famine and financial crises, be at peace because the citizens of heaven will be provided for. If there are deadly super viruses lurking around, take comfort because no evil shall befall those who belong to Him. If there are wars and terror spreading the globe, be at peace for our God will be with us wherever we go. All of these evil things are unfolding because this earth is a fallen world. That is why Jesus Christ has to come down and clean it with His blood. Jesus Christ has already done that and all we have to do is to believe!
Next time the devil throws his empty threats of sickness, danger and depression to inflict fear on us, always remember that we have Someone in us who is far greater than all (1 John 4:4). Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross for you and for me redeeming us from the curse of this world!
Fear not! We belong to Jesus Christ who has got us all covered!
