1 John 5:12 “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
One of the saddest images in this life is meeting people who seem to have everything the world has to offer and yet complain about the emptiness of this life. Another sad part is that these are the very people who fall into vices that ruin their family and their lives. They stumble into addictive behaviors of gambling, adultery, and some drown themselves in their work believing that happiness or ‘life’ can be found somewhere there. What they do not realize is that without Christ, they are simply stuck in a neurotic cycle of chasing false pleasures that merely increases their emptiness; and thus, they are never satisfied and often frustrated.
The Bible says it clearly, “he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” Jesus Christ is The only Way, The only Truth, and The only Life (yes, I used my own emphasized translation of John 14:6). What can be a greater meaning than for a creature to commune with their Creator? Can creation really exist apart from their Creator? Jesus said: “I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10) and this is where lost people missed it.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35
They go around living in the world in circles. They build something only to destroy it. They seek life through material things, they seek life through their relationships, they seek life through their work and accomplishments, and they seek life through earthly things; and it is through all these distractions that they fail to see The Corner Stone, The Light of The World, The Saviour Jesus Christ.
Let us share the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to a world that is lost in darkness and witness people transform as the true Light becomes their true Life!
