Matthew 16:15-16 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
So who is Jesus Christ? Some people say that he is a nice guy; some people say that he is a major prophet; some even say that he is only a fictional character. How about you? Who do you say Jesus is? If you can say in your heart that Jesus is The Christ, The Son of the living God, then bless you for you are speaking out of the wisdom that comes from heaven and not of the earth (Matthew 16:17). It is this very revelation that got Simon Peter promoted from being a rowdy and sinful fisherman to one of the most prominent disciples of Jesus Christ who holds the key of the kingdom of heaven (verse 18-19).
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!”
It doesn’t matter who you are or what you do. You can be a powerful business man who gives a lot to charity. You can be a single mother who sacrifices her time and health for her children. You can be a successful person with all the Ph.D.’s in the world and still not have the revelation to answer the most important question of all: Who do you say Jesus is?
