Welcome and a Merry Christmas to all!
In this video, I tried to unwrap a small insight on the symbolism of the Biblical manger where The Lord Jesus Christ hanged out as a baby. Many of you will suspect that this video was inspired from the Christmas sermons of Charles H. Spurgeon; you are not wrong on that. I’ve been reading his Christmas sermons lately and found tons of great insights by Charlie himself.
Of course in the beginning of the video, I attempted to justify why celebrating Christmas was not a pagan or sinful practice at all. Yes, I was actually surprised that Spurgeon preached about this. Though the holiday called Christmas, especially the date 25th December is totally unBiblical, remembering, rejoicing and celebrating the birth of our Saviour is not. So, have a go this Christmas season, greet everyone around a Merry Christmas!! For The Lord has come down and has saved us from sin!
I truly feel ashamed, defeated, embarrassed for the conditions of The Lord’s first visit (the first advent of The Lord and Saviour). It’s worst than having dignitaries visit your home and they end up getting food poisoning. Nevertheless, this has been foretold and this has been illustrated many times in The Bible: The Owner of the vineyard sent His Son, and we nailed Him on the cross. Totally uncalled for… or should I say: a totally human behaviour? I have made it my goal to make sure we give our best this time around. No, there won’t be red carpets welcoming Him in His second coming. Actually, there will be wars, BUT He will be satisfied with the sheep that have come back to Him. This is the least (or the most) we can do for The Son of God, Who left the glories of Heaven so that He can condescend to be “born in a manger” and save mankind from the very sins we committed.
Here on Earth, The Lord Jesus Christ was practically not welcomed at all. Babies were slaughtered for His sake; the entire world was closed up against Him saying: We have no room for you!
In Christian Counselling or even in times of temptations, we remind ourselves of this question from our Lord: “Is there room for Me?”
For this Christmas, we hear The Lord Jesus Christ knocking on the doors of our hearts asking: IS THERE ROOM FOR ME? Let our answers be a collective YES LORD! Come in! I am a sinner and I need You! Come in Lord and dine with me!!!
Let’s make this year’s Christmas count in the name of Jesus Christ!
Once again, a blessed blessed Christmas to all!!!
