Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
In ancient Israel, every time the country rejects God and worships idols, they end up being rejected by The Holy One. This was the reason why ancient Israel was passed on from king to king and conquered by several ‘gentile’ nations.
Today, the Gospel of Christ goes around the world and lives on to which ever nations that will accept The Holy One of God with open arms. We can see that these wise countries, who accepted The Gospel as a nation, ended up as blessed nations that possess more human rights, gender equality, and even economic growth (compare both North Korea who rejected the Gospel and South Korea as an example).
Righteousness is a state of being. It’s a state of being with the Holy One of God, Jesus Christ. So to those wondering where to invest their money, whether on a country’s currency or even on stocks of listed companies, ask the one question that really matters: Is Christ invited in this currency? Or Is Christ invited in this company? Because a country with Christ in it will surely be exalted, while a company who rejects The Holy One will be disgraced.
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,

the one who trusts will never be dismayed.
