We Don’t Need To but We GET To

Notice that for the true believer that we DESIRE to do God’s will?  Some people who fall for the trap of misinterpreting grace as not doing anything anymore because Jesus has already conquered all they say.  That is far away from the truth.  Grace will not make people lazy; instead, it makes people serve God happily.  It’s tantamount to me asking: “Do I need to give flowers to my grandmother on mother’s day?”  I don’t need to, but I want to and it is the greatest honor of my life to show my 90-year-old grandma how much I appreciate her love for me.  The apostle Paul said that because of grace, he was able to accomplish more than anyone in early Christianity.  True enough, it is through Paul that three-fourths of the New Testament was written.

When you are in grace you don’t need to do anything more to earn your salvation; instead, you get to do things for the Kingdom of God – and you get to do it happily.

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and it is only through grace that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed our body and soul that we gain the honor of having the Holy Spirit dwell inside us.  This is why Psalm 40:8 said that God’s law is within our heart.  We are no longer subjected to the demands of the Mosaic Law or Canon Law or any Levitical Laws.  The Holy Spirit resides in us and it is the Holy Spirit that will place in us the desire to do things for the Kingdom of God. And trust me it’s not just about lying in bed the whole day.  God has far greater plans for us than that.  After all, God doesn’t breed champions for nothing.  The important part here is that the Holy Spirit will not make us do things that we don’t want to do.  Know that when The Holy Spirit is prompting you to do something, IT WILL BE SOMETHING THAT YOU DESIRE TO DO (Matthew 11:30).

For people who subject themselves under the law, they can’t hear the Holy Spirit much.  That’s because they focus too much on man’s external demands; you should and you should not’s.  The real child of God operates through the grace and love of Jesus Christ.  We focus on The Saviour and we allow the Holy Spirit who’s in our hearts to lead us to do His will.

Let no man tell you that you cannot have The Holy Spirit in you.  The death of Jesus Christ is more than enough payment to make us sons and daughter of the Most High God.
