God’s Word is Life

Lamp unto my feet

Psalm 119:93 “I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.”

Psalm 119:89-96 talks about God’s Word.  The writer refers to it as ‘Your eternal word’, ‘Your faithfulness’, ‘Your regulations’, ‘your instructions’, and ‘your commandments.’  Verse 93, the verse for today, emphasizes God’s Word as the one that preserves life.  I like the New Living Translation which expresses verse 93 as:

“I will never forget your commandments, for by them you give me life.”

God’s words give us life.  The writer of the Psalm possesses the revelation that this ‘life’ which God’s words give is not just limited to spiritual life.  The word of God penetrates our total well-being (verse 92) and the word of God has no limits! (Psalm 119:96).

My dear friend, what you have in The Bible is a book that contains the very wisdom of God that gives life and spirit.  I cannot overemphasize on the value and the blessings one can obtain by opening this book and feeding on what God has to share to His children.

If you want to start right now but don’t know where, try reading the book of John (obviously my personal favorite) and begin your fresh journey as revelations of who Jesus Christ really is starts sinking in your bones and in your spirit.  Once you do, please don’t forget to share to me your own revelations about Jesus Christ, for I always love knowing more and more about our dear Saviour.

I wish you all the blessings, all the peace, and all the grace in Christ, Jesus.
