1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”
Jesus Christ is The Light of The World (John 8:12). It is impossible for us to be with Him and not become holy; just as it is not possible for us to bask in the sunlight and not be tanned by its rays. When we bask in the light of The Lord Jesus Christ, all the promises God has made to man is already in effect. If we don’t let Jesus’ light shine on us; God knows, only darkness and ugliness will be seen, and we then disqualify ourselves from claiming the holy promises of the righteous Father.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
– Jesus Christ (John 8:12)
One of these promises and perhaps the greatest of all is Salvation. John 3:16 clearly states that whosoever believes in The Son of God, Jesus Christ, has already passed from death to life. This is because death, which is brought about by the effects of sin, no longer has power over our lives. The curse of sin is no longer in effect because Jesus Christ has already suffered and died for our sins! All our debts to the law of God have been fully paid for by our Saviour! Praise The Name of Jesus Christ!
We walk in His light and the darkness of sin can touch us no more.
