Psalm 119:130 “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”
It comes to no surprise that the three main themes of this verse (Word of God, Light, Wisdom) all point to the beloved Son of God, Jesus Christ (John 1:1, John 8:12, Proverbs 8). In the Gospels Jesus revealed the true meaning of this verse when He proclaimed: “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life” (John 14:6).
Jesus Christ is all we need. So we draw from Him (seeing Him in His Word) in order to get Him (obtaining Him as our wisdom) so we can forever be with Him (getting Him as our life). With Jesus Christ, there’s no way we can go wrong. He is who we need and He is the only Person we will ever need.
