1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
We could always use a reminder that Jesus Christ is coming again. On His first coming, The Lord came as poor as anyone can imagine; He didn’t even have a proper place to be born in the world. This was because The Lord, in His first coming, came as The Lamb of God who will take away the sin of the world. On His second coming, He is coming as God, lifted up on high – the Alpha and Omega; and as opposed to His first coming, His second coming will occur with a lot more style: angels will announce his coming with a loud BOOM! and the dead (in-Christ) will rise! Those who are still alive when this happens will meet Christ personally as they are raptured to the clouds! The best part of these verses is the last line: “And so we will be with the Lord forever!”
